The Next Steps
- You must be a student in an established university. Each room is let on a single occupancy room basis and regretfully no guests are allowed on the premises between 10pm and 11am the following morning for the benefit of all students.
- For those starting annually in August, the rent term is for a full 12 months and you will need a UK guarantor (or if you don’t have a UK guarantor, you will need to pay your rent in advance, typically for international students). Your UK guarantor must fully understand that the rent obligations are for a full 12 months and that the contract cannot be terminated early under any circumstances.
- Select the room or rooms that you are interested from the room layout on the website. There are 9 bedrooms rooms at 64 Portsmouth Road and 5 bedrooms at 27 Weston Road. The key difference between the two properties is at the 9 bedroom accommodation at 64 Portsmouth Road all bedrooms have their own ensuite whereas at the 5 bedroom property at 27 Weston Road, they share two shower room / toilets which is reflected in the rent payable.
- Email your interest to paulwrightman@gmail.com and arrange a visit of your room. Once visited, if you would like to progress a tenancy we will need your full name, address and phone number, and a guarantor’s name, postal address and email address. A simple validation check will then be undertaken on your guarantor. Your guarantor must reside in the UK.
- Upon successful guarantor acceptance, you will be asked to sign a 12 month contract and your guarantor will be asked to sign a guarantor agreement effectively guaranteeing your rent payment for 12 months.
- When you move in you will be asked to view the room and sign a schedule of condition which confirms the state of the room. You will be expected to return your room in the same condition, allowing for normal wear and tear.
